Welcome to NewCREEations! Our mission is to teach people what Jesus has done for them and help them grow in their God-given purpose so they can teach others what they’ve learned.
The Gospel really is good news. God is not mad at you. The Father poured all that judgement and anger out on Jesus at the cross and now there is none left for you. If you are willing to humble yourself, accept what Jesus did for you, believe that he rose from the dead, and let him direct your life, you can experience a new life enjoying God’s goodness too.
Our teaching comes from the place where spirit and truth, grace and faith all intersect.
Scotland is the place where God has called us to share his message so you will see a ton of references to that great nation here on our site. Charis Bible College is the primary means through which God has asked us to communicate his message.
Our Journey
Chris and Lisa Cree
We could see clearly in scripture how Jesus called us to live. But no matter how hard we tried, we couldn’t seem to actually live that way for very long at a time.
It seemed like our lives were a never ending emotional roller coaster.
We were burnt out, especially of church. What we were experiencing in life was very different than what we saw of the early church in the Book of Acts.
It was in that season that we heard about Charis Bible College and God told us that we could renew our minds so our hearts would transform and then we could step off the roller coaster. So we agreed to move across the country and spend 3 years with our heads in the Bible and see what God would do with that.
That decision has proven to be one of the best things we have done as a couple.
Our Backgrounds
Chris was a merchant marine officer and flew off of aircraft carriers in jets with the US Navy. After leaving the Navy he spent 12 years working in on the docks in various marine cargo operations positions. Then in 2007 Chris turned his blogging hobby into a new career developing websites, both in his own business as a freelancer and as an employee of a rapidly growing firm. This job change provided the flexibility to eventually leave the coast where the ships were, move to the mountains and go to Bible college.
Lisa was trained as a veterinary technician (nurse) in school. In 1989 she participated in an agricultural exchange program in Australia where she spent a year working in a zoo. Upon returning to the States Lisa spent the next 15+ years working with rhinos, cheetahs, giraffes, gazelles and all sorts of other exotic animals in zoo medicine. Lisa has also owned and run multiple small businesses including a business women’s networking organization.
On Mission
Today Lisa and I (Chris) live in Scotland where we direct the Charis Bible College location in Dumfries. Our experience going through Charis, and everything we learned there improved our lives so much that we are thrilled to be able to share the same life-giving truths with the people of Scotland and the world.
NewCREEations Ministries is the vehicle which provides the necessary financial resources for us to accomplish the work God has for us in Scotland.
