Greetings from the Pastor
Welcome to the congregation at Greenville, Ohio. It has been my privilege to pastor God’s people here since 1998.
I was born and raised across the Indiana state line in the little town of Farmland. At the age of 13, I was converted at a gospel meeting of the Church of God in Union City and the Lord called me to preach when I was 15 years old in December 1991. Since then I have travelled all over the world in Europe, Asia, Africa, and across North & South America, preaching the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ. The congregation started in Fairborn, Ohio with a few families in the late 1980’s. We bought our first building in Huber Heights on Old Troy Pike in 1990. We outgrew that building as people got saved and the Lord added to the congregation. In 2005 we moved to our current building in Greenville.
My burden and our mission is to help the lost, reach those that are caught up in the worldly society around us, and those that have been injured and hurt. We extend a warm welcome to visit our services, especially to those that are seeking truth, a real experience of salvation, radical young people, and restored families of all ages. There are detractors that have attempted to disparage our unity but our congregation is a thriving, vibrant force for God in this community and I urge you to come and see for yourself. I look forward to see you at one of our services soon!
About Greenville
Greenville is the historic location of Fort Greeneville, which was built in 1793 by General Anthony Wayne’s soldiers during the Northwest Indian War. Named for Revolutionary War hero Nathaniel Greene, its defenses covered about 55 acres (220,000 m2), which made it the largest wooden fort in North America. Two years later, the Treaty of Greenville was signed at the fort on August 3, 1795, bringing an end to the Indian wars in the area and opening the Northwest Territory for settlement. Fort Greenville was abandoned in 1796, and the town Greenville soon grew up on the site.
For too long, the religious world has seen a departure from the apostolic message of the church of God. This fact is evidenced by the prevailing condition of spiritual deadness and insensitivity, the drift to worldliness, the decline in deep spirituality, the loss of evangelistic zeal, and the increasing dependence on tradition, man-rule, and intellectual understanding of the doctrine. God no longer tolerates these dark conditions. He is now sending a Holy Ghost awakening. This is a divine move of the Spirit, ordained by God and prophesied of in Revelation and other scriptures. God is restoring His church and calling all of His true children out of every sect and schism back to the one fold.
It is time for every one of God’s children to hear and obey, in fullness, God’s precious Word. He is calling us to be the church of God in the apostolic sense; not in name only, but in reality and power. Let the scriptures settle the matter. God is not coming for a defeated, divided, spiritually ragged, powerless church. He is coming for a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing.
That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.
Ephesians 5:27 KJV
In this time of restoration, we rejoice as the apostolic message of the church is once more being sounded forth clearly, in its purity and power, to gather unto God His glorious, blood-bought bride, the church of God. She is now making herself ready for the Saviour’s soon return.
We are zealous to meet with all lovers of truth and would love to hear from you!
And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.
Revelation 22:17 KJV
